Crumb Quilt from Mask Project
Be Inspired by the Community of this Crumb Quilt!
As you know 2020 was a year of challenge due to COVID 19
but it was also a year of Community. At The Sewing Labs the community of "safe-at-home" sewists made over 74,000 PPE masks that were distributed into the Kansas City and surrounding community for FREE. As a commemorative piece for these efforts, Robert Lackie, Art Therapist & Classroom Instructor @ The Sewing Labs designed this "Crumb Quilt" project. The "scraps" leftover from making masks were redistributed to sewists who wanted to piece them back together to be placed into this quilt. The quilt was then pieced together by Cindy Ubert, Patty Meek and Robert Lackie, with machine quilting by Linnca Stevens.
Thank you to our community of Sewist!
You will be honored to add this to your home or you can gift it back to The Sewing Labs for commemorative display.
